We’re facing an unprecedented skills gap in the Tech Sector. It’s no longer good enough to tell people that “you can go surfing on your lunch break” and expect them to pack up their flip flops and run to the beach for a tech career in Cornwall.

Join us on the 18th October from 10am at Heartlands in Pool, Redruth for a great opportunity where the tech industry and your future employees can join forces for to share ideas, network, learn and legacy build.

We’re planning an event to find out and give the sector a chance to hear the voices and ideas of the next generation of potential employees. It’s also a great opportunity for tech organisations in Cornwall to highlight what is currently available and the plans for the future. It’s your chance to inspire, promote and listen.

The speed that technology has developed, as well as the recent pandemic, has truly opened up opportunities for everyone but none more so than young people. What can we do as business owners and entrepreneurs in the region to encourage more people (of all ages) to use their skills to benefit themselves and the Cornish tech industry.

Join us for Tech Connect – 2030 and we might just find out! We’ll be at Heartlands, one of Cornwall’s oldest industries for “a day of imagination” and healthy discussions about what the future of the tech industry in Cornwall could look like.

Alongside some talks and an exciting panel discussion we’ll be bringing back our popular 99-second talks. If you’ve got an important and relevant topic you would like to talk about – we’d love to hear from you.

Take a look at our speakers form here.

In our panel discussion we’ll be inviting young people from schools all over the county to put their questions about the future of industry to the current tech leaders in Cornwall. Maybe we’ll find out if want they want from their future career is the same as what we think?!
