Dealing with Legacy Code Masterclass

Thursday 28 11 2024 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free – £99

Are you scared of working with a Legacy Codebase? You know… the kind of application written years ago and only been touched as a last resort.

Wouldn’t it be great to open up the IDE knowing that, no matter what you find after cloning the repository, you’ll get out on top?

Join us in this workshop where we’ll take a dive into the most common challenges found in ancient codebases, how to prepare yourself for success and how to turn an unmanageable beast into a project anyone would be proud to contribute to.

The session will feature not only theoretical explanations but also practical exercises and a live demonstration.

Mauro Chojrin is a seasoned Software Engineer, with more than 20 years in the industry. Currently he works as a Technical Coach, helping development teams deliver high quality software by embracing eXtreme Programming practices.

As this training is Part-Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund there will be some paperwork for attendees to complete (this only needs completing once and not required for every masterclass).

This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
