On the 16th and 17th of October, Bluefruit Software will be attending the ‘Skills Show Experience’; one of Cornwall’s largest careers events for young people ages 16 to 25, hosted at the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge. The event will see over 100 local employers demonstrating some of the typical day-to-day activities of their businesses and respective industries, as well as other fun activities aimed to engage with attendees.
Bluefruit Software will be representing Software Cornwall at the show, with the aim to encourage young people to consider software development as a fun and attractive career.  Bluefruit will be showcasing a number of bite-sized ‘Have a Go’ experiences, including ‘The Robotic Arm Challenge’, which will involve using basic lines of code to train the arm to move and pick up items around it. As well as this, you can have a go at using a Raspberry Pi to build a house on Minecraft!
It’s definitely worth getting involved, as there will also be the opportunity to WIN a Raspberry Pi! All you have to do is visit Bluefruit Software on Stand 12, and they’ll explain what to do next. http://www.raspberrypi.org/
So why not head over and try your hand at a number of hands-on tasters in industries you might never have considered before? The show is free and open to individuals between 3 and 5pm on Thursday 16th.’
