Build a Website in a Day

As this is fully funded by our EU funded Employer Led Skills project you will be contacted by our Training & Skills Coordinator to arrange a 10 minute zoom call to complete the sign up paperwork.
Join Garry for a day of website design, terrible jokes and even some free tools to improve your digital skills as well! Garry has years of experience building and maintaining websites for local people, national companies and even for his own amusement.
Between 10am and 4pm, he’ll take you through a speedy workshop where you’ll build a functioning, mobile friendly, one-page website that will be totally LIVE for you to share with your friends and family. You’ll be using open source software (WordPress) in combination with a premium theme (Divi).

Simple, drag and drop design using software that powers around 80% of websites.
Techniques for building a website, without any knowledge of complicated code.
Digital tools to help you with font selection, colour selection, image discovery and content creation.
How to put a one-page website together that includes an About section, a Services section, a Blog section and a Contact form.

European Social Fund
The European Social Fund is partially funding Software Cornwall to run this training project to provide development training for employees within the software industry. As a Software Cornwall member you will be receiving a discount to this course by email. This course is only available to those from the UK or EU. To participate in the training certain personal information will be required from attendants as proof of employment and eligibility to attend. This information is for the purposes of ensuring that the training will go to the correct participants. You will also be required to complete an evaluation form after the training as part of the attendance.
