SUMMARY:Marketplace Event: Invisible Carbon Footprint
DESCRIPTION:Digital Transformation’s next Marketplace event is for businesses with an interest in its carbon footprint.   \nTheir practical and fast-moving workshop (three one-hour sections divided equally between presentation\, exercise and feedback) will go beyond some of the elements we’re more familiar with when we think about our ‘Carbon Footprint’ (like packaging-reduction)\, to explore hidden impacts in more detail.   \nWe’ll deal with our ‘Digital Footprint’.   \nThe environmental cost of our internet searches\, the songs and videos we stream. Even messages we send\, routes we plan\, payments we make.  \nThey’ll also tackle the impacts of our financial decisions (our pensions and banking: who’s investing in – or divesting from – what)\, as well as issues around product use and end-of-life. They’ll also cover how consumers change behaviour\, and the idea of a circular economy.   \nAttendees will come away with actions they can make\, useful alternatives and a greater insight into the Digital Footprint of their own business’s behaviours.  \nThe event is expertly facilitated by Jennie and Paul Atkinson\, specialists in sustainability\, behaviour change\, green economy transitions and stakeholder-engagement. \nIt will also include a Q&A with Leap\, not just an award-winning design studio\, but a B-Corp business which is passionate about working sustainably.   \nReserve your space now\, for the 14th July and take the time to meet\, eat and be inspired.

SUMMARY:Breakfast with Jason Bradbury
DESCRIPTION:Join Digital Transformation and Unlocking Potential at FibreHub for a breakfast networking morning with Jason Bradbury\, best known as the white bespectacled host of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show\, whose ‘Thousand Year Decade’ and ‘Lockdown Decade’ speeches\, predict the dramatic changes to come over the next ten years in A.I\, Blockchain\, Energy\, Retail\, Health and Entertainment (and many other sectors) using exponential growth models. \nAfter a delicious light breakfast from Nimbus Kitchen and the time to connect and re-connect with peers\, we will hear how Jason’s infectious passion for technology\, science and natural effervescence has seen him front-of-camera for over twenty years on just about every UK TV channel from Channel 4\, to ITV\, BBC to Discovery bringing cutting edge tech to the mainstream.\n\nFollowing his recent re-location to Cornwall\, to immerse his life and work in all things the county has to offer\, Jason said: \n“You’d think the glitz and glamour of two decades in front of TV cameras would hold a pull for me. Honestly\, an inspiring one-to-one conversation or meaningful presentation in front of a live audience is where I really come alive.” \nJason has been at the centre of the social media influencer movement since the early days of Twitter and now with Instagram\, but his focus in recent years has been his public speaking career. Having started his professional life as one half of a comedy double act with David Walliams\, it is no surprise that Jason brings as much humour to his talks as he does insight. \nReserve your space now\, for the 14th June and take the time to meet\, eat and be inspired: \nhttps://bit.ly/3wGX6p6
