Jim was the person who suggested Agile as a programme for Oxford Innovation several years ago, after which many companies throughout Cornwall then began to adopt it.

Jim will be speaking on the subject “If I ruled the world”

After serving several years in the industry Jim will describe what he would do if he was given carte blanche to set up a delivery project from scratch with ultimate authority and budget. He’ll be covering a range of learnings from his work on massive programmes through to the beginnings of much smaller scale projects and how “small is still relevant”. As well as this he’ll touch on the underlying technical practices and architecture he is using at Thoughtworks as well as some of the techniques and tools he’s seeing in other areas of the industry.

Biography:: Jim has been writing code for many years. He is currently a Principal Consultant for ThoughtWorks.  His passion is the code and systems architectures, helping teams deliver reliably and rapidly.
