Software Cornwall to raise sector awareness at Cornwall Expo

Software Cornwall and its members will be promoting and raising awareness on the tech business community and the development of digital skills at the LEP Cornwall Expo 2015

The stand will help to showcase growing software businesses in the county as well as skills and educational activities such as code club that the software community has been supporting

Attendance at the event has been organised and funded through software cornwall, with a number of members volunteering their time to attend and speak to delegates about the opportunities and potential of the support the growing community needs.

We aim to show the importance of support for the sector and its needs from workspace to the pipeline of skills needed to faciliate continued growth.

What is Cornwall Expo?
Cornwall Expo combines an exhibition and conference focusing on infrastructure, business, tourism and skills. It will showcase some of the great work going on in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly at the moment, while outlining future plans and opportunities to drive a productive economy. This includes the new EU Growth Programme and other planned investments that will continue to transform our economy over the next five years. We hope the event will be a chance to network, collaborate and get involved in shaping the future of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Why is it in a hangar at Newquay Airport?
We want to physically show you some of the great infrastructure projects happening right now, and that means having plenty of space. We don’t want to give too much away but there will be opportunities to actually see our investments and we want you to experience the Aerohub and Enterprise Zone.

What do I need to bring?
• Please wear warm comfortable clothes and shoes that are suitable for an industrial space
• Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all throughout the day
• If you want to have a go in an electric car, please see the FAQs
• An open mind and a business card!
