Become a Code Club Pro Trainer
Wednesday, November 12, 2014, 9-5, venue tbc
My name is Jess and I work at Code Club. We’re a not-for-profit and we teach 7-11 year old kids how to code. We get developers to run after-school clubs and together we’ve taught over 28,000 kids to code. We also help primary school teachers with developers volunteering just 8 hours each year to share their expertise in a school.
We want to help Cornwall’s primary school teachers understand the new computing curriculum and need volunteers. We’re running volunteer training in Cornwall on the 12th November. After the training day, we only ask for 8 hours per year time commitment from our volunteers.
I am hoping you could share your experiences and help local teachers in Cornwall. The curriculum has just changed and for the first time primary school teachers will be expected to teach computing to children from 5yrs+. They could really use our help! I would love to talk to you more about what we do. Here’s our website: http://www.codeclubpro.org/ and our twitter is @codeclubpro. My email is [email protected]. It would be really amazing if you could do anything to help.
The location is still being confirmed but is likely to be Mid-Cornwall to give an opportunity for as many developers as possible to attend.
