We are very pleased to welcome our new Sales & Marketing Manager Niki Davies to the Software Cornwall team! Niki joins us this December and brings with her a wealth of experience in marketing for the tech and software sectors and we are delighted to have her on board!
Throughout her 15 years in marketing, Niki has worked for multiple tech and software companies. Most recently, this includes multi-award-winning cleantech startup, Verv, who develop tech solutions to tackle climate change, including a sophisticated AI home energy monitoring hub, an embedded microchip for smart appliances and a blockchain-based energy trading platform.
Niki has also been co-hosting a European workshop on Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM), uniting academics and tech companies working on the niche topic of energy disaggregation to share knowledge, research and areas of application.
Niki has worked for a specialist LabVIEW software consultancy whose clients are in the aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and energy industries. She also spent 3 years working for a User Experience (UX) design agency who built next-generation web applications for the likes of The Co-operative Bank, Pizza Express and InnovateUK (who were known then as the Technology Strategy Board).
Niki wears many hats and in addition to her full-time roles, she has taken up voluntary board positions for Junior Chamber International (JCI) over the last decade, in both Sheffield and London, recently launching Cornwall to help support the personal development of young people aged 18-40. Niki won the award for Most Outstanding Member in the UK 2020 and is a part of the UK National Board team for 2021 as the Director of Web & Digital Transformation.
Niki joins the Software Cornwall team at a pivotal time for the organisation, with the software, tech and digital sectors being the fastest-growing industry sectors in Cornwall and demand for support being high.
